Project Censored

Here is a website that is really interesting. ProjectCensored.org is a media watchdog group that each year compiles stories that are of great importance to our lives, and yet go under-reported. While magazines and newspapers fill up their pages with celebrity gossip and sensationalized accounts of scandals, we often go without learning about events and issues that affect us, our environment, our political reality, our food, our privacy, our liberties.

I have copied their top 25 list for your interest. For more detailed explanations, resources, and links please visit their website. This worthwhile project reminds us that it is up to us to seek out the truth, in a mediascape that seeks to dull us with infotainment. (Hello, Brangelina?)

Wow!! I love the site! Thank you for the link. Much more interesting of a read than what Lindsey Lohan's hair color of the week is!

PS> Almost time for your cupcake book to come!! YAY! I was afraid of having the cookbook too since I do not need any extra pounds. I think I will let Britty make them, and we will freeze lots of them, like you mentioned. :) It's too cute of a book to not have!

Wow, thanks for this post, I'll definitely be looking into this matter more...I never concerned myself too much with whether something was GMO or not...but this woke me up!

Love the link Bazu! What a terrific site. It reminds me of what Ralph Nader has always been saying about the Media Bias. You've probably seen this site, but if not, I'll post it anyway. I think you'd like it:
Common Dreams Their tag line is Breaking News and Views for the Progressive Community.

This is an amazing site and so incredibly important. I'm studying journalism right now and working on a bachelor's degree. I hope one day I can report on stories like this and actually get them some attention. Everyone of those headlines is so much more important than "Is Angelina prgnent again?" Gah.
Thanks for sharing this one with us.
